Ingredients go into the bowl, the timer is set, two buttons are pressed and about 30 minutes later 1-1/2 quarts of a frozen confection are ready for consumption. Because the machine doesn't require its bowl to be frozen for hours in a refrigerator's freezer (like less expensive machines that only churn), it can immediately begin making another batch. If a batch becomes too hard the machine shuts off automatically. This machine will deliver creamy ice cream that will please your family and friends. It is very professional looking, and attractive and sturdy. I took the gulp, and paid the big bucks and do not regret it for a minute now that I have gotten the hang of the best way to use it. This machine is so easy to use and so immediate in delivering excellent home made ice cream. Right out of the box I made two real classics, Double rich chocolate and then creamy French Vanilla.
